Our Clients > Case StudiesLearn how Joshua & Company has helped other companies to effectively communicate employee benefits to their workforce: Bank Gives New Employees a First-Class First Impression Background: A large financial institution with multiple locations was dissatisfied with their orientation package, provided to roughly 1,000 new employees each year. Materials were collected from various departments and packaged as a mismatched collection. Requests for orientation packets were not met on a timely basis as components had to be collected from various sources, and no process existed for efficient production. The client was looking for a professional, concise package to present to new employees, more reflective of the bank's image. Joshua & Company Solutions: The first order of business was to conduct research within the bank to determine exactly what information needed to be contained in the orientation package. Joshua wanted to eliminate redundant messages coming from more than one department. Also, it was important to distill the information down to only what was necessary at orientation, keeping in mind that some information could wait until a later date. Once the pertinent information was identified, it was organized and rewritten in a logical, easy-to-understand fashion. A new look was designed for the package, giving it a polished, professional image in keeping with the high-quality reputation of the bank. Labeled tab dividers were used to separate the contents and allow for easier navigation. A precise ordering system was put in place, allowing each department to fill its orientation needs in advance of expected hiring. Human Resources now takes orientation packet orders from each department for the upcoming two-month period, ensuring that supplies will not be depleted by large, annual demands. Feedback: The client reports that the new employee orientation material is "exceptional, very professional-looking." The material is updated annually to incorporate any changes in the contents and allow for a review of the look and layout. The new packet provides a good presentation for new hires, giving them just the right amount of information they need. Following the production of the new-hire kit, a summary brochure was produced by Joshua & Company to give candidates for bank positions a brief overview of the benefits offered. As for working with the Joshua team - "I would definitely recommend them. I give them something and I don't have to worry about it. They get it done. They're very dependable." |
